The Swami Vivekananda Cultural Society (SVCS) stands as a beacon of hope and transformation

marginalized groups and foster a sense of community and belonging among the youth
Mission and Vision
The overarching mission of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Society is to work towards the betterment
of society through a variety of social service initiatives At its core, the organization believes in empowering individuals, especially those
from underprivileged backgrounds, by providing them with essential resources and opportunities. The society envisions a Kerala where every
individual can thrive contributing positively to the community while embracing and upholding cultural values
1. Bala/Balika Ashram
Children's Home: “Bala Ashram” often refers to children's homes that provide shelter for hundreds of boys for education, and care.
It's likely a place where children can receive foundational education and life skills development. And to promote child rights,
support education initiatives, and provide emotional and psychological support to children from difficult backgrounds.
2. Annadhana Kendrams
Annadhana Kendrams (or food distribution centers) are initiatives primarily focused on providing free meals or food supplies to individuals in need, especially the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society. The primary goal is to ensure that no one goes hungry, supporting those facing food insecurity due to poverty, unemployment, Kendrams rely on volunteers, donations, and sponsorship from individuals, local businesses, or larger organizations. Community participation is often vital for their sustainability. providing basic sustenance, Annadhana Kendrams prioritize offering nutritious meals, promoting awareness of healthy eating practices among the community.The concept of Annadhana finds its roots in various cultural and spiritual teachings in India, including those of Swami Vivekananda, who emphasized service to humanity as a form of service to God.
3. Vidyalayam ( school )
Vidyalayam are operate primarily on the principles of philanthropy and social welfare, aimed at providing education to underprivileged and marginalized communities free of cost or at a very low fee. These institutions play a vital role in promoting literacy and education among children who might not have access to formal schooling due to socio-economic barriers. Our Vidyalayas offer education at no charge or minimal fees to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent children from attending school.Our schools often serve communities that are economically disadvantaged, Apart from academic subjects, our Vidyalayas often incorporate moral and ethical education, life skills, and vocational training to prepare students for various life challenges.Our Vidyalayas offer additional services such as food (annadanam), medical check-ups, and counseling to support the overall well-being of the children.
4. Vanaprasthasrams
Vanaprasthasrams also known as senior living facilities, retirement homes, or nursing homes, are residences designed to provide housing and care for elderly individuals who may require assistance with daily living activities or who seek companionship and a supportive community.
